I’m a typical girl. I LOVE shopping. But as well as spending far too much instore and online I also love learning everything about the industry – from store operations to ecommerce strategy and delivery.
After more than 20 years writing about retail – during which time I’ve interviewed some of the biggest names running retail in the UK and beyond – I know my stuff.
I’ve been a news reporter and then features editor on Retail Week; a freelance editor on eDelivery.net and am currently a freelance research editor for InternetRetailing, responsible for the full writing and editing process of a number of their whitepapers. I’ve written for numerous retail trade publications, as well as working as a copywriter for a number of retail and businesses clients – with a particular focus on retail technology and retail marketing.
InternetRetailing
I’m a research editor for InternetRetailing. In this freelance role I’m responsible for the full editorial process of many of the company’s whitepapers, taking them from initial concept through to research, writing and editing and to final design and production. This involves close project management with the supporting sponsor. As well as this I contribute to a number of reports. A handful of recent examples are below.

I worked as freelance interim editor of eDelivery.net, sourcing, writing and editing news and content for the ecommerce delivery website and putting together the weekly newsletter.
Retail Week
I was full-time on Retail Week from 1999 through to 2007, starting as news reporter and being promoted to features editor before moving to Bristol to have my children. I continued freelancing regularly for them until 2015. Click here for access to some of the pieces that I’ve written for them.
